HEAD USAGE for REPLAY and/or FEEDBACK on original DRUM ECHOMATIC

This machine had six replay heads, numbered 1 to 6, with number 1 being the first head following the record head.

There is also a six position echo selector switch which functions as follows:

POSITION 1

REPLAY is from all six heads with heads 1 & 2 at maximum level, 3 & 4 at intermediate level, 5 & 6 at lowest level.

FEEDBACK is from all heads, with head 6 at the highest level

POSITION 2

REPLAY is from heads 1, 4, and 6 with the level dropping with the head progression.

FEEDBACK  is from head 2 - which is not selected for replay.

POSITION 3

REPLAY is from head 6 only

FEEDBACK  none

POSITION 4

REPLAY  and FEEDBACK no heads selected - i.e. no echo.

POSITION 5

REPLAY  is from head 6 only

FEEDBACK is from head 6

POSITION 6

REPLAY is from all heads - levels as in position 1

FEEDBACK is from head 5
